You will have fun. You will get dirty. You will help support the fight against blood cancers.
The Winter Pineapple Classic
Aloha! The Winter Pineapple Classic is a 5k team run with obstacles followed by a Hawaiian luau. The luau features roasted pig, vegetarian sides dishes prepared by the Kauai Family Restaurant, Hawaiian entertainment led by Aunty Manu, and a beer garden hosted by Georgetown Brewing Company. Bring your flip flops, beach chairs, and beach towels to enjoy the festivities - all held at Magnuson Park! Read more here.
NEW FOR 2009: Thanks to the dedication of our repeat participants, the Winter Pineapple Classic has grown exponentially since its inception just three years ago. We would like to ensure this year's event is just as much fun, and that there is room enough on the course for everyone, so we’re limiting the number of participants to 5,000. In order to balance maximum fun with maximum awareness and funding for blood cancer research we are asking that each participant meet a minimum fundraising goal of $50. This is separate from your registration fee. Those who do not meet the minimum may not be allowed to participate in future Pineapple races. Your $50/pp minimum must be submitted by the fundraising deadline of Dec. 4, 2009.
